The Board voted to oppose proposed State Legislation to create single member districts for the commissioners. All nine elected at large board members were present for this vote. Commissioner Walsh abstained from voting. The remaining eight commissioners voted for the resolution to oppose Illinois HB 4075.

An RFP was advertised on April 5, 2017 for updating the investment policy and asset selection, allocation, and evaluation strategies. Also portfolio analysis and other support services. Investment Consultant services to cover a period beginning September 1, 2017 – August 31, 2022 in an amount not to exceed $275,000. The committee recommends that a service agreement be awarded to Marquette Associates, Inc. Deferred to afternoon session.
The board approved authority to advertise a contract for a Covered Composting System at the Calumet Water Reclamation Plant, estimated cost $22,453,250 to $27,180,250. The covered composting system will help to eliminate odors generated by open composting.
